The Gardens

This grassy bank slopes from the house to the lake and creates
an ideal amphitheatre for large public events such as the well
attended Classic Fantastic music and firework concerts.

The Park in winter

The park in the summer - Classic Fantastic in full swing!

The main features of the grounds at West Wycombe are relics of the artificial Rococo style, offering an enticing mixture of water and solid ground which provide straight avenues, serpentine streams and winding paths in the woods.

Although the Sawmill House is not available for events (since it is the current private residence of the Dowager Lady Dashwood), as you can see it can provide a delightful visual backdrop.

It is easy to imagine how difficult it is to keep the grass short in the park, we use sheep to help keep it under control!

The park was also designed to be used as a deer park, as a result many of the ha-has are still in place and help to keep our sheep where they are supposed to be.
